Our Company provides professional transport, forwarding and logistics services using our experience and qualified team. A large base of carriers makes it possible to optimally fulfill orders entrusted to us by customers.

Respect for the environment has always been the focal point of ROYAL PELLET since the very beginning of our activities. Therefore, in recent years, we have strengthened the use of multimodality (road-rail and road-sea) in the Company.

This choice is based not only on our increased sensitivity to issues such as sustainability, but also on our determination to offer state-of-the-art solutions in line with market requirements.

Intermodal transport

Intermodal transport (also called combined transport) consists in the execution of cargo deliveries by various means of road, rail and sea transport, without reloading of goods. It makes it possible to optimally use the transport capacity and proves especially useful for deliveries of large quantities of items, including single ones – from the place of dispatch to the place of destination. When providing services, it is necessary to combine at least two different means of transport where containers or semitrailers are most frequently used. The container transport reduces not only transport and handling costs but other costs as well.

Intermodal transport – advantages

  • lower costs as a result of, inter alia, reduced charges related to reloading or employing a smaller number of drivers,
  • the possibility of increasing the quantity of items during a single carriage operation,
  • lower risk of damage to goods during loading, reloading and unloading,
  • fast and timely execution of orders, especially in international transport – goods arrive at their destination in a shorter time,
  • environmentally friendly solution – the amount of pollutants emitted by trucks is reduced as a result of the use of sea and rail transport,
  • greater availability and higher quality of transport services,
  • it is a very good supplement, especially for sea freight.

Intermodal shipments are perfect for exporting pellets because:

  1. Prices are locked in for the whole year;
  2. Accidents and delays are rare;
  3. Greater availability of cargo is provided;
  4. Average costs are lower than in transport by road.

In order to make this mode of transporting goods function efficiently, appropriate infrastructure, i.e. a properly organized logistics chain is required. Various loading and unloading methods are used during intermodal transport. Owing to the extensive infrastructure of transshipment terminals, it is possible to efficiently unload goods, e.g. in the port, go through appropriate customs procedures and dismantle containers with goods, as well as load goods onto shipping vehicles or trains. This not only shortens the time of the entire logistics operation, but also brings financial savings.

Transporting products by land and sea makes it possible to effectively use the transport infrastructure on all continents. Consequently, goods can be delivered directly from factories to warehouses located in different parts of the world. Intermodal forwarding is a very future-proof solution that will not only improve the condition of the environment, but also the quality of services provided by logistics companies.

Pellet boilers differ from other solid fuel devices with greater comfort and convenience.

 The following operations are automatic:

  • firing and extinction
  • boiler cleaning
  • burner cleaning
  • removing ash
  • feeding fuel

To such group belongs the first Polish central heating boiler with burner for pellets funded by a prestigious list of BAFA in Germany. For years this model has been appreciated for low emissions and robust design. New feature is the ability to control and monitor the operation of the burner through the Internet. The boiler automatically ignites and extinguishes, so there is no work with the maintenance and it consumes less fuel compared to older, simpler designs.
It is also possible to adapt the existing boiler to coal through the installation of a suitable burner for pellets. For more demanding clients we offer comfortable solutions with pneumatic fuel feeding over long distances.

Pellets are perfect fuel allowing the combination of elegance and technology.

This is evidenced by freestanding stoves becoming more common in single-family houses, tenement houses, offices, restaurants, workshops and shops. They are available in various colors and designs and meet the highest aesthetic requirements. They combine pleasure to use traditional fireplace with advanced technology that enables automatic control of the device. They eliminate the need for continuous cleaning and inflaming. They do not require intensive supervision and regulation, are more efficient (less flue gas losses) and faster to install. The user does not have to open the glass to add fuel so it does not result in smoke release and soiling of premises, thereby eliminating the need for frequent refreshing (coating) of the rooms. Stoves contain in their structure a hidden mechanism of fuel supply, its ignition and combustion control. Each stove has a built-in pellet container which, depending on use, provides fuel for 1-3 days. Everything is controlled electronically. The control panel allows daily and weekly programming. The user, sitting comfortably in an armchair, can operate the stove by remote control.
One example of this can be a steel, free-standing fireplace with automatic ignition, electronic control. During pellet combustion it gives off heat in the form of heated air through the air supply ducts. The container is for 15 kg of fuel, which allows unattended operation from 7 to 24 hours. The efficiency of the fireplace is 93-95%. Includes remote control.

Choosing wood for fireplace several parameters should be taken into account: its density, hardness, cleavage, content of bark and degree of drying as well as the drying speed. They largely determine the size of the flame, the amount of recovered heat and the amount of smoke that accompanies combustion.

The more dry firewood the harder it is and gives more heat, because it is more calorific. Dry wood burns less flame than wet, but it takes longer. Therefore, although it is expensive, it is generally more economical. The wood must not have too much bark, because it lowers the calorific value.

Calorific value of firewood, that is its efficiency, depends on its density after drying. Burning hard wood is accompanied by a small flame, but it gives more heat. It burns slowly and therefore requires less adding. As a result, although more expensive, it may be more economical and certainly its stock will take up less space than in the case of softwood.

By purchasing wood with high content of bark sometimes we have to order up to three times larger quantity than in the case of the wood that contains less bark. The calorific value of wet wood is low, a large quantity of thermal energy is consumed for the evaporation of moisture. Insufficiently dried firewood will generate smoke and will be harder to inflame. This causes problems with maintaining proper temperature.

The wood drying ability is important when we buy freshly cut wood. This property determines the seasoning period after which wood will be suitable for burning. The differences are very big – from a few months in the case of birch up to three years for oak. The ability of drying up is determined not only by the water content but also by the specific structure of wood.

To ensure wood drying after cutting it be seasoned that is dried under the roof for an average of two years. It may be suitable for burning sooner if it is dried in special chambers with air convection.

Wood of coniferous trees is not quite suitable for firewood regardless of how long it is seasoned. It contains resin which, while evaporating, is deposited on the glass and inside the chimney forming a hard-to-remove greasy layer. The resin under high temperature can “shoot” what in the case of an open fireplace is particularly problematic. In addition, large amounts of smoke and soot produced during combustion are deposited inside the chimney contaminating it and reducing its patency.

Wood from deciduous trees, which contains little resin, does not cause such problems. It burns evenly and does not produce excessive smoke. It results not only in clean glass, but also clean chimney – which is much more hard to clean.

We offer firewood of deciduous trees which is kiln-dried.

  • 18-22% humidity inside
  • length of slivers 25-30 cm
  • split 8 to 15 cm
  • packaging: box-pallet volume of 1,0 stere; 1,8 stere; 2,0 stere

The best and most calorific species of wood are hardwood: hornbeam, ash, beech.

Species Density after drying Properties
Hornbeam 830 kg/m3 Considered as best firewood, highly calorific, burns slowly, a small flame and gives a lot of heat, content of the bark about 7% (low)
Ash 750 kg/m3 Very hard, calorific, it can be difficult to chop into smaller parts
Beech 730 kg/m3 Highly calorific, burns evenly and long time, content of the bark about 7% (low)
Oak 710 kg/m3 Highly calorific – gives a lot of heat and has a pleasant smell. High content of bark – 22%, high content of acids and tannins
Birch-tree 650 kg/m3 Burns quickly and easily giving steady flame, it contains little tar substances
Alder 570 kg/m3 It should be very well dried. Owing to nice smell often used for smoking meat

Our offer includes wet sawdust from coniferous trees (pine), after debarking, natural humidity as for sawn wood without drying – up to 60%.

Sawdust – comes from the processing of wood in sawmills, and is also a by-product of cutting, milling, etc. It is used as fuel for the production of pellets and briquettes by pressing under high pressure.
Wet sawdust can be further processed. It can be used as loose fuel for cyclic use in sawdust stoves. It is also suitable for fireplaces and stoves. It can be also used as an acidifying fertilizer for plants. It is an organic fertilizer which after decomposition provides humus to plants. You can also sprinkle plants with sawdust before winter, thereby protecting them from the effects of weather conditions. Wet sawdust can be used as a protective bedding.

Sawdust is delivered by covered means of road transport such as a “dumper” or “moving floor”.
